heard of someone putting wd-40 on clams-I know this has been gone over before but I could use some info here, anyone?

Yes and no - some use it as a universal bait scent. I won't use on clam (use Fin-Esence clam juice avail at tackle shops) but yes on mullet, bunker, squid, etc.

One tip, do not use the spray. The spray has 80% petrolum products in it. If you can find the squeeze packets or squeeeze tin can, use that.
