Drifted eels in the inlet from 7:30 to noon. Nothing! Water was brown and dirty. Hopefully next weekend things will turn on. Anyone have any better luck?

I went to check on the boat on my way home from Sea Isle. I had one rod in the back of my truck and one that was lent to me from Tim who owns the marina where I keep my boat. Having my wife and 10 week old puppy on board we gave it a shot in a few places with nothing but one skate. I will giving it an honest effort next week end. The only clams I could get were shucked. I always do better with fresh clam and lots of chum.

Caught some weakies in the bay and headed to Barnegat Inlet. Grabbed a few spot. Live lined and got hit by a few blues(expensive hits!) Then got a 27" strippie:) Very excited as it was my first striper on the new boat. Had a few more hits that felt like stripers but got tangled on the rocks. Good day. The big boys are coming soon!:p
