Palmyra Park on the Delaware

Does anyone have any info on the new park recently opened at the base of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge in Palmyra. I've passed it a few times and it has good access to the river and lots of parking but I've never seen anyone fishing there. Thanks in advance.

There's a sign that sayssomething to the effect of...no hunting,.....,removing or harming animals on the site. Doesn't specifically say anything about fishing. Interpret it the way you want. There's a pond back there, but it's not on the park. I walked back there a few times and noone said anything to me when they saw me in the park with my rods, but I didn't run into any cops or anything.

sandshark I had the same idea that you had what a nice beach for some striper fishing,and I live nearby on philly side.I wen't over there the other day and spoke to one of the park people who said that I could fish from beach but had to park in the lot. I fished from the beach for maybe 1hr got 1- 10" striper then had to go, park closes at dusk opens at dawn according to state police I spoke with.Good luck and let us know how you do
