Went out last night in the back of Margate with the intent of plugging the banks. We left at 8:30pm, the tide was just changing, the weather warm, bay was flat. As we got to our spot we could hear the bass splashing, and could see baitfish jumping and being corralled against the banks. After about 3 casts the weather changed in an instant, the wind shifted and must have blew 25mph! The temperature dropped and it was freezing! Kept trying to plug for 10 more minutes but it was a futile effort, we could barely keep the boat under control. Went home shivering in white caps, unbelievable how the weather can change so quickly, and a good lesson to remember when going into the ocean. We expected a weather change but thought that NOAA had it wrong as it had been calm.
