Hey guys,
For early fall rips, do you guys recommend all bucktails or all eels or a little of both.
Also with eels, how close to the bottom do you drag em? I normally use em with trolling weights and get em as close to the bottom as i can
and hook em right through the lower lip out the top lip. what do you guys do?

a little pricey this time of year with eels due to all the blue piranha's around!! When I do drag eels, I use just enough weight to feel the bottom.

Im prolly gonna bail on heading way offshore for the seabass and work the rips/bay. I dont know if i wanna make a 30 miles run offshore to some of the wrecks or the deep water reef just for seabass. Not sure yet though, Need to pick up some tails for the rips if i do try that on. Who knows, we'll see. I might even try and just troll the 5 fathom line and putmy buddies on some slammer blues
