I use a boga grip and lip it so as to not acutally touch the fish.. If you must touch the fish wet your hands first in the water so as to avoid doing damage to the slimecoat on the fish. take a picture and get him back in the water as soon as possible to minimize the stress to the fish..

nevermind, i looked it up. what about how i can safely hold it with my hand? is it safe to hold it by the lip with my hand?

No teeth, just feels like sand paper. You can lip'em by grabbing the bottom jaw without any potential for injury to yourself. Good luck.

Very important !!!
If you're going to release the fish - doing so within 30 seconds or less GREATLY increases the likelyhood that the fish will survive !!

If you've got your camera ready, up to 30 seconds is more than enough time.
