I plan to be out in force on Friday with the possibility of having Steve of Stanley Rose fame aboard. The tentative plan is to try the Rips with bucktails first thing and then, depending on the action, head up the bay for some strummin. Has anybody recently had/heard of any decent action at the rips? As to the bay, I suspect that at the right moment, any of the likely spots may turn on, between the obligatory skates and sharks, of course.

Be careful, Steve will try to take over your boat. You'll catch them wherever you go.
Is Murph going too?

Steve - sorry to tell you, but Ron can't fish with you on Friday. He has been MIA for most of the week and I am tired of doing "desk charters" His majesty will be doing deps instead of fishing, so what time shall i meet you in the moring?

Brad

PS I do know how to sweat a joint.

I already have command of the next case but ron won't admit it . Murphy is going of coarse but Ron don't know it. Deps for ron? I had keys made for the aberlmarle but ron doesn't like it! Too Bad! Looking foward to just sitting back and fishing for a change. Looks like Cap't Ron will be in charge.

OK, you guys. First, I refuse to fish WITHOUT Murph. After all, his constant barking raises fish. Second, if Steve doesn't take over my boat, I'd think he doesn't like me. As to Brad expecting me to do some deposition instead of him, he needs to get about another 20 years of experience so that he can get a Brad. It's my birthday on Saturday and my wife threatened that she will fish with me (like she did when we were dating and getting along just fine). Mako, I do intend to post reports (truthful), good, bad or otherwise with locations, times, species. Hopefully useful information, especially for those who have been kind enough to do the same. And, Jimmy, I hope you told Steve the truth and/or Steve told me the truth as to where and when you got'em. His recollection of events and what people tell him is suspect, at best.

UPDATE: (2:40pm) Just got off the phone with Ron, Steve and Murph. He said they have fished up and down the bay resulting in just one 20lb Drum. He said the tide is turning and praying it turns on. Slight chop...

P.S. Brad, Strap a set on and leave that office...

Joe.

Sorry for the late report, but I did notice that my buddy, Joe, did give you guys a reel time report. We ended the day with 1 more 20 lber for a grand total of 2. The wind was against the tide all day. When the tide turned, so did the wind. I was depressed and did not fish Sat or Sun. I limited out on skates which had me so frustrated that I almost threw away my rods. I suppose that won't happen, so I plan to be out again this Fri, Sat and/or Sun. Stay tuned, folks and somebody get me a fishing shrink!
