I have an extended weekend trip to the mecca (Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnell aka CBBT)scheduled for 6/3. I will be joined by my two brothers Spooled and Fin Advisor to help celebrate my 40th birthday. We will be targeting Cobia, red drum, fluke and what ever else is available. The plan is to stay on the Cape side near the kiptopeake state park. I was wondering if any other barners will be down in that area doing the same thing? We'll be fishing on my ride which is a 21 parker dvcc.....md registration Myself or my brothers have never caught or even targeted cobia for that matter so this should be quite an experience. Thanks much to Twin D's who provided a detailed post on cobia fishing this area.

I agree it's a bit early usually the end of june to early July is the beginning. 4th of July is a good reference date it's usually the beginning of the season.

Old Hat, the red drum on the shoals near the High Rise should be a sure bet in the evening. Good luck down there!
