It wasn't a banner weekend but it will certainly do for mid December. Weather report, as you all know, was less than favorable for either day so I decided anchoring with clams in LE inlet would be the ticket. We did manage to get 5 bass (no real size) and miss just as many but if I had the same situation over I would have opted for hitting the ocean. The inlet was nasty (3-6ft rollers cresting at times  )and I really appreciated the full transom. Headed out early Sunday morning and searched up and down southern LBI until we found a few marks and picked off slowly at some nice small bass until that bite ended. Then we headed toward the barn working the beach and saw some nice marks, dropped out metals and Bamb, six fish on first drift. :D Ended up with about 30 bass total, 3 slots keepers and a nice trip. Most bass were on the A27 - A47 green tail with teaser (loved the teaser). Wind was 15-25 W and howling. Had to work alot harder than last weekend. I hope someone can give me good news of more bass coming down the fish highway???? Bohica Out!

Nice job Killin Time, we'll be out there with the ski parka's this weekend as well. Bob, where were you getting the larger fish? and on what? Metals or live bait? Largest fish we had was probably only 27 -28" with the average being around 22" but fat and strong as heck for small fish....must be hungry. I need an enclosure!! Bohica Out!

We were probably 7 or 8 miles north of barnaget. Smaller fish were in tight to the beach under birds. Bigger fish out in 50ft or so, no birds but lots of bait. Most fish were on stretch 25's, others on metal.
