Went Out Yesterday Out Of Holgate Inlet Around 3:30. There Were A Lot Of Boats Out There, So We Went About 300 Yards Away From Them, And Within 30 Minutes, We Were Hooked Up. Had A Real Heavy Chum Slick Going, And Were Using Fresh Clam. We Got 3 About 29 Inches, 1 32 Inches And 1 42 Inches. First Day On The Water And Had A Real Good Time.

We Actually Tried To Get Out At 11:00 But The Tide Was So Low, My Buddies Boat Was High And Dry.

Good news. But I went out last night and tried Doulble Creek to get to B inlet but NO GO. Alot of the channel had 12" of water. No fun running aground at night. I packed in in and will try this afternoon

Actually There Were Tons Of Bunker Jumping Out Of The Water About 10 Feet Behind The Boat....good Sign.

And When I Was Cleaning The Fish Last Night, I Cut His Belly Open To See What He Was Eating. Found A Lot Of Different Things. Some Sand Eels, Some Clams, Some Big Whole Squid, Half Of A Bunker, Some Mackeral Chunks That I Was Chumming, And These Little Things That Look Like Mini Lobster Tails, Almost Even Like A Large Crayfish Tail With No Head On It. Anyone Have Any Idea?

Mantis shrimp. Do a web search on them. Supposed to be pretty nasty if you encounter a live one.

I use them for bait when I have them. I got about a dozen and a half this fall while castnetting bunker off my dock. This is what they look like (at least when they are frozen
