Went out on buddy's boat today to the GE Inlet. Fished from 10:00AM until 2:30 PM. Great day to fish, no bites. About 16 boats in area and didn't see anyone going for the net. Just have to keep putting time in and hopefully, we will get our stripers.

The only way I saw the seasick pills work was take one then an hour later or at the dock take another pill.
If you still get sick jump overboard. I never seen a seasick swimmer.

You will need a prescription from your doctor but the scopalamine patch works very well. I don't know what they cost if you don't have a prescription plan. I know guys who cut them in half and claaim it still works. Or you could just stay out of the blender called the north bar and fish in the back on days like today.

Take 2 ginger pills and 2 Bonine pills before you go out. Works great for me, and I get sick as a dog just looking at the rough ocean.... :D You won't get tired either, like with Dramamine.

I was out there yesterday too, intending to head south but the inlet was so nasty blowing SE (didn't NOAA call SW) that we turned around at the bell and went back out by the rockpile. Drifted eels, clam and mullet, nada. Went inside and chummed for an hour, nothing but weed. Called it quits after 5 hours.

The patch works well but you also can get it in tablet form. It's called scopace. It works faster and more effectively than the patch. The pills are a lot cheaper than the patch. 30 pills for about 15$. The only side effect is dry mouth. Google scopace and you'll get all the info.

WE HAVE CHOCOLATE COVERED AUSTRAILIAN GLACED GINGER.
GE looked like Nights In Venice tonight at sundown....nobody doing nuthin. I was north and found birds (maybe 50) spread out and occasionly diving. Big blues and maybe bass(saw some big splashes) working the surface.....but not alot. One would pop up here ....then pop there . So I threw a popper, got blasted a couple times big I missed 'em Just enough to keep me interested. Had a humpback out there too, birds all over him.

I swear by raw Ginger root for sea sickness. I cut up some chunks and eat them on the way to the launch. The only time I get sick now is when I forget the ginger.
You can get it in the grocery store for about a buck and it will stay good in the refrig for weeks.

He is referring to my Halloween costume. Tooth Fairy! John is still getting his sea-legs. he has got a long way to go before i take him out for some reel fishing at the DEEP! Big difference reeling in a 100lb tuna versus the small bass in the back bay! Fishing is fishing and it counts just to get out there and have a good time.
