got walls
11-02-2006, 03:21 PM
I was curious if anybody had any input on channel 68 friend the Seahawk. I understand he's been around for awhile. Anybody have a clue on who he is? Any opinions on his radio show?

Yup, he was on the air in full force yesterday. I think many of us who used to get pissed at this guy now find him somewhat amusing - unfortunately:rolleyes: . I'm surprised that nobody (or the FCC) has DF'd his arse yet. It's even more amusing listening to the responses of people who are unaware of his antics.

I heard him yesterday too, other than being really annoying at times,I don't think he's breaking any laws, the only profanity we heard was from the replies, kinda fun listening to his reports. He shore does catch a lot of halibut!!

Seahawk rules! It's more funny listening to everyone who gets their butts riled. He definitely achieves his objective.

I think the liquor stores will go belly up if he ever leaves. At least we can turn him off. I do enjoy the replies from all the PO'ed people.
What would you do if you ever figured out who this guy is?

He's blasting out his crap from the Villas, quite a few blocks from the bay.

I have never heard SEAHAWK curse, swear, or use any foul language.
That cannot be said about most of the responces to his transmission.
He is entertainment at its best...

Nothin' wrong with the Seahawk. I fished Wednesday in the bay and he was the only entertainment. I just have to find out where his spot from yesterday is so I can move 2 clicks and a jump over. Hey, Seahawk, keep bailin' em in, jumpin in the boat and hittin' on the head.

HE IS A DISGRACE TO FISHERMEN COMMUNITY...the radio is not a toy. It is a serious piece of equipment that should not be played with.
:p except in situations like today..GONNA BE ALOT OF GUYS OUT TODAY. Fish starved guys too, looking for ANY sign of fish and when the Seahawk comes on with his act ya just gotta laugh.:p
:) wonder how many beleive him:)

What happened to the Croaker guy this summer?
Not a peep out of him this year. :D
Real Deal

That guy makes me laugh. I haven't heard him step on anyone else's conversation, insult anyone or use foul language. I would rather hear the reports from his 14' bayliner charter then the husband and wife argument over how many tires to replace on their car.

You should hear him try and talk offshore on there. We found a nice weed line around the East Lump last year that was holding some nice Mahi and I was giving guys in the area some info about where we were catching then that yahoo heard me and started saying the "Mahi mahi were jumping in the boat and he was hitting them directly on the head. Moron!! I would like to hit him directly in the face!!!

He's an idiot and knows nothing about fishing except for what he hears and repeats in some obnoxious way, if I knew where he was I have a good spot for his radio to go on him.

That Sea Hawk really knows how to fish boy ! Last year he was catching King Salmon on the Flemish Cap ! He also knows his boats. I was thinking of buying a 26 Regulator but but changed my mind after the Sea Hawk said that his 14" Bayliner was a great boat. He was filling up the bilges with 12 - 23 inch STRIPERS at the 28 mile wreck ! He lives for the guys who get bent out of shape. Personally,,I think he is a riot.

Nothin wrong with a little entertainment on the radio:)
Its better than hearing a bunch of no fish catching chatter. People need to lighten up a bit and have a little fun. If you are on 68 and expect some holy revelation then you need to find a new hobby.

I was curious if anybody had any input on channel 68 friend the Seahawk. I understand he's been around for awhile. Anybody have a clue on who he is? Any opinions on his radio show? Unfortunately the VHF radio was not designed to be a toy to amuse the ones among us who were born with less grey matter in the upper cranial region. Those of you that contribute to this retard are worse than the Sea Hawk. He does not transmit from a boat but has the VHF at a home with an outside VHF antenna, and has in all probability never been fishing. The signal always comes from the same area in the Villas or N. Cape May area. Hopefully one day he will be caught and punished by the FCC who does not condone his crap. Or quite possibly he will find something else to play with to keep him amused. Hopefully that day will come sooner than later.

actually, in speaking on the topic, hecin fact does transmit from a boat however it never leaves the dock, how about somewhere in the crest. seems he was caught by his neighbor without him knowing. handhelds are great .

The way that reads he is not breaking any laws with his "Fishing Reports" so we dont have to wory about him having to stop ever,so we can enjoy his reports for many years to come. Here is to a longggg life and many, many reports to come from the "USS SEAHAWK".You really know how to stir them up.

Here is the link for VHF Maritime Radio use. http://wireless.fcc.gov/marine/fctsht14.html#SEC5
However if he is operating a VHF Land Station there is another set of rules. Also if you search "complaints" on the site there is an online complaint form that can be filed.
