Wow! Boy, am I tired! We had a FANTASTIC day of striper fishing today!

Our morning trip had Rich McHugh and his private charter aboard. Rich, Harley, Joe, and John did phenomenal! The action started off in the rips with 45 degree water, and it never stopped! The guys spent the five hour trip CRUSHING stripers with multiple hook-ups on every drift. They easily limited out on slot fish, used a couple bonus tags, and tossed back plenty of 'tweeners, slots, and shorties to keep me breaking a sweat all morning long! Great job!

Our afternoon trip had an open boat group out with George, Denny, Jimmy, and Vinny! Joe C. was also along for the ride. Although the bite wasn't quite as fast and furious, as we had a bit of an Easterly breeze throwing off our ebb tide drift a bit, these guys did a great job catching stripers throughout the entire trip! Denny was high hook, getting over ten bass to the boat himself! Everyone caught fish, and had a blast! We kept our limit of slots, and Denny used a bonus card on a 32" bass.

CAN'T WAIT 'TILL TOMORROW!

Fantastic doesn't say enough. The boys on the Little Mar Vic had a super day too. We were fishing the same rip as the bomb, and our arms got tired too. Caught a couple of dozen keeping our limit of slots and 3 tag fish. Thanks to the Adam Bomb for marking the spot for us.

Lew, you bet ya'! Being one of the few boats on the scene is a BEAUTIFUL thing!

Captainbob, was that you on the Proline? Great job out there! It sure was a fantastic bite! Hope to see you on the water again, soon!

Paul, I saw your report. Way to kill 'em! Today was no different! We marked them stacked up and HAMMERED them, especially on the end of the tide.

bass on the brain, being out there is what makes doing this such an incredible way of life! I wouldn't trade it for the World. Thanks for the great post.

Joe, it's crazy man! Gotta' love it!

Adam,
Yes, the little MarVic is a 21 ProLine, which we were using on Saturday since the big MarVic (a 41 Albemarle) is already drydocked. We had planned to go chunking with clams in the back, but when we saw your report from Friday and the great weather, we knew we had to take one more shot at the rips and give the bucktails another workout. A great way to end the season as we put it on the trailer Saturday afternoon. Fresh striper for dinner tonight. However, if another great weather weekend comes up, you may see us out there again before the big freeze.

Bob, glad you were able to get some more bass on the Little MarVic. I am sure we'll see you out there on the next nice weekend.

Bob_E, awesome day today! Simply put. I'm looking forward to checking out those pictures. Thanks a ton!
