Hey I got back my tag info today and the bass I got was one of yours. The fish looked healthy, I removed the tag and set it free.
Figured I'd have to get a few of your tags sooner or later back there. Tag #619411

FRANK, THANKS FOR SENDING IN THE TAG
It WAS ONLY OUT A COUPLE OF MONTHS
It was my #173 striper recovered lifetime and #387 overall fish recovered.
You didn't give the size but assumed it was still 23" if only out couple months
Thanks again for turning in the tag

I sent an estimated size of 23 inches when I mailed in the tag. I didn't have a tape on me but I didn include it on the info form. I'll email you the exact location if it helps any. Maybe you could talk to ALS and get some new patch designs, I have 10 little fishy patches now. smile.gif

Willie, Does the ALS want info on the location and size of the fish without the tag? I had a fish yesterday that I recorded the tag # and released it. Should I send them the info without the tag?

If you have the info from tag and released the fish with same tag go ahead and send the info in
tag #

location
and just tell them fish was released with original tag

You can always tell a fish Willie tags, it smells like cigar smoke.

BTW, I also caught a tagged fish on Sunday, had a yellow tag the thickness of a thin rubberband back by the tail. Copied the number and measured the fish. It was released and tag left in as it appeared in okay condition. Is this one of your tags? 6 digits.
Is the Littoral Society on-line, or do you have submit infomation by US Mail?Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Bob E-- Doesn't appear to be in my series , it does look like given the number the fish may have been out 2 years

BTW, the tag was covered in algae and had to be wiped clean, appeared to be in the water awhile. I will mail info to the address you gave, thanks....bob

LOL.... I just noticed in looking at the address that the # that I recorded from the fish last week was the zip code. redface.gif :D And I was so happy that I could read it w/out my glasses. Guess I'll have to start carrying them too. ;)
