After putting up with horrible weather this past week end and realizing that our season was coming to an end, we ventured out to the C.M. rips in 5-7 foot seas on Monday 11/13. Standing up in the boat was a real feat, but it seems like the fish were on a hunger rampage after the week end storms. At the first stop we dropped the eels over and within 2 minutes had a triple going. Boated all three fish and next drift had a double on. The third drift had 4 singles in a 4 minute span. On the fifth drift we had 5 on within 30 seconds of the drop. We had 6 guys and the captain and had limited with 14 stripers in 30 minutes. After that we spent the next 20 minutes releasing fish. These fish were feeding like it was the last meal and it was for 14 of them. Out of the 14 kept fish 8 were between 17 and 30 lbs. We had left the dock at 11:15 AM and were back in the slip tied up at 2 P.M. The water was so dirty from the storm that when we saw our pencil leads we still could not see the fish. How they find the eels in that dirty water is really amazing. I guess having only one other boat out there with us on a rotten weather day was a real bonus. The only boat near us was a headboat and not another boat could was in sight. If I can figure out how to do the pics I will send them.

I guess that shot the dirty water theory to hell. Good job.

I guess that shot the dirty water theory to hell. Good job. Thanks Twin D, it sure does shoot the dirty water thing in the rear end. Spoke to one guy who was with us yesterday and he went today to the same rip fished all day and got 2 just keepers. Yesterday was a bonanza and today was almost a bust. But will Togging on my favorite wreck on the week end and maybe doing a rip job if the following day is good. Been sitting on 15 dozen greenies I caught last week. Last Nov 17 had 50 sea bass and 122 tog in 4 hours. There were only 2 of us so we had to give back over 100 tog. The ones we kept were all over 6 lbs and up to 13 lbs.

man you guys slayed them and fast Hey Philly, it was almost as good as the day I got a 12 pointer by 9 AM and went back to bed. Slept in that morning till 9:30, went to Doc Mikes for some breakfast, left the dock at 11:15, and after limiting out for the 7 guys got back at 2 PM and back in the sack by 4:30. Jack said it best, it don't get much better.
