Finally gonna get back down. Been getting by on all your posts. TY
A buddy and I have our boats at Bree-Zee-Lee.
Mine a 19.5' OB Seaswirl and his a 21' WA.
Wondering if we should bring them home yet or leave if things are just heating up?
Wondering about pulling them and working out leaving them on the trailers at BZLee?
Been watching the forecast for Cape May Sat/Sun. 2-4 ft. seas.
Been wondering if it is worth trying to run to the rips or try just out from the CM Inlet?
IF its gonna be too nasty for either, is it worth hunting for any Stipers in the back bays?
If we do want to make a run for the rips I was wondering if we would be better off making the run down the coast outfront or going through the canal, down the bay to the rips, given the wind, weather, tides, bite, etc.?
Maybe run out one way, back another base on the wind, tide?
Still trying to figure out how to best guess that run given wind & conditions, still learning, alot here thanks to everyone.
If we do make the rips thinking of live lining some eels and spots, Bucktails (Open to size, color, tipping suggestions on the Bucktails?) maybe chunk some Fresh bunker heads in the bay from the canal on down?
Fred @ No Bones or anyone else selling fresh bunker & eels?
Thanks, can use every tip I can get.
Frank

If You Dont Mind Crowds Then Go To The Rips.

I'm Sure There Are Lots Of Fish To Be Caught There

The rips from what I can tell have some pretty decent room and we typically dont fish right on top of them and keep some distance from the crowds.
Still wondering about the best way to run to them as I posted before given the wind direction mostly, if coming or going one or the other is better based on the wind?
We can get to them either out the Cape May inlet and down the coast or through the canal and down the bay.
Trying to get a rule for this such as if you have a SW wind go out one way, back another, etc.
Thanks
Frank

papa, from BZL to the Rips with a NW wind take the inlet.;) Its a lot longer run thru the canel from BZL and that would only pay if the ocean was really nasty.
