Hey guys!
WHAT A DAY!
Doug White and his group of nine guys chartered the ADAM BOMB III and the STALKER for a tandem boat trip. They picked a great one!
We headed out into a stiff Northwest wind, despite the forecast of Southerly. Oh well! We plowed our way through it and got settled on our chosen fishing grounds. Within minutes, Alex had his first striper in the boat of 34". Next, Alex got another one...this time, a gold one(BLACK DRUM!). Next, Andy got in on the act...then John...then Doug! The STALKER was anchored a short clip from us and their guys were on the meat, too! The good fishing escalated into all-out MAYHEM with big bass and drum coming to boatside at a feverish pace. At times, I couldn't keep up with the net flying from one side to the other! Skip and Jer were frantically running around the cockpit of the STALKER, netting and swinging! We had a ton of drum in the 15lb. to 30lb. class, and then at the end of the trip John stuck a behemoth fish that he battled for quite some time. After dancing with the fish for a good fifteen minutes, the big drum hit the deck and went in the 60lb. to 70lb. class easily! All that on a 15lb. class spinning outfit! Not to be outdone, the STALKER crew also stuck a couple of big drum coming in the 50lb. to 60lb. class at the end of the trip!
The fish box was full merely 3hrs. after we started fishing, with drum and bass banging the lid of the hatch to get out. We locked it down, and headed for home with a box full of fish and many releases. At the end of the trip, the ADAM BOMB crew put OVER TWENTY BLACK DRUM TO THE 50lb. to 60lb. RANGE on the deck, and also boated their LIMIT OF STRIPERS TO 37" with most fish in the 34" TO 37" RANGE! We let go one bass, too - for a total of eleven stripers. The STALKER crew had as many drum to 50LB. TO 60LB. RANGE, and also killed nearly THEIR LIMIT OF STRIPERS TO 25LBS.! What an incredible afternoon of fishing!
My camera's batteries died, but Jeremy will be posting pics shortly.
Thanks, guys! Can't wait to do it again soon!
