Went out saturday morning. Ran up to trenton for some herring, had four in about 45 minutes, then headed to look for the striped ones. Short day becasue my buddy had to work but we did ok. We had a couple runs and finally hooked up on one. 33" that weighed 18 and a half pounds. Had a fresh water clam on the anchor so thought we would try that, ended up with a 7 pound catty and finished with a striper and two catties.

I fished bloods and clams a little North of the Turnpike bridge on Saturday. We caught a 12" striper and a bunch of cats. It was not one of my banner days!

Yeah, live herring is the way to go plus they are free, bloods are a fortune. The clam we used was just because it was on the anchor and it worked but we'll take it.
