Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. You were right Rodfather....we did pretty Okay today.
Had my Cuz-TheREELmasterBaiter and Skip M on board for some late season bucktailing. Skip wanted to know where the bait was but he soon found out that "we don't need no stinking bait!!!"
Headed right to Prissy in some nice, flat seas and 42.3 degree water- but found Prissy to be surprisingly dirty on the high flood tide so off we went to OverFalls.
It took us a few drifts to find the fish but once we did we got on em real good...I mean I got on em real good(LOL).
Anway water out there was 44.5 degrees and much cleaner. We found a super nice rip that let the crew catch a few- in fact we pulled 25 off that rip at the start of the outgoing. Fish were up to about 29" and all caught on bucks and chartruse tails. After a few hours the bite slowed and we went searching again. Managed to pick here and there finishing the day with a sweet 34 BASS!!!
What a way to end the year. This just might be enough to last me until March....well at least until we go toggin in two weeks.
Anyway- Skip and Mikey it was AWESOME fishing with you guys out there. Had the pleasure of fishing next to Scotti and his Crew on the Desilu, Skip, Bob Ransom, Margaritiville, and a host of other boats.
Did I mention it was downright AWESOME out there. As flat as can be, nice and warm, and fish on every rip. You gotta luv it!
