Awesome Skippy. Glad you guys got on em. We had a few hours where it was truly great fishing. What a way to end the year.

Good to see you out there.

Appreciate the report.

It's swaying me to try the Rips on Monday instead of going down to the Chesapeake Bridge Tunnel. If I leave outta' Lewes and fish the Rips, I'll be fishing on the Jersey side, right, so I'll need to go by Jersey rules? I'll also take it that I have to go straight to port without fishing at any time while I'm on the DE side? Thanks to anyone that'd be kind enough to clear that up for me.

The rules apply to where you launch from. Since you will be coming outta Lewes..gotta have 2 over 28".

Dont forget to try the spots before the rips....may not even need to run up there smile.gif

Looks like I had it wrong. Thanks for the scoop.

Edit - One more question from the Rip newbie. By "slot" fish, do you mean Jersey throwbacks that are between 28-34", or do you mean fish that make the 24-28" keeper slot?

Hey Chesapeake724, striper regs on Debay are a tad confusing if you launch outta Delaware. Yes Del side is 2 over 28". But if you were fishing in Jersey waters and boarded while in possesion of these two "Delaware legal" fish....you would be in violation of jersey regs, while in jersey waters. the only way to be absolutely sure you are not in violation is to keep just one fish over 34 inches. (If you are gonna fish Jersey side). And Kenbrown is right as well, some really good spots on Delaware side to hit before burning a bunch of fuel.
