On December 7, the North Carolina Marine Patrol charged Rodney Salter, 34, Ron Sparks, 35, and Bobby Martin, Jr., 47, of Carteret County with illegally harvesting striped bass near Drum Inlet. Fifteen striped bass were seized totaling 431 pounds. In addition, the Marine Patrol seized 400 yards of nine-inch gill net. Warrant Officer Mark Daniels and Officer Mitch Stone both worked this case.

We ,who are interested, should send a letter to congressman asking them to co-sponsor Congressman Pallone's bill to make Striped Bass a Federal Game fish smile.gif

Fifteen bass @ 431 pounds???? That's one hell of an average fish! Almost 30 pounds per fish!

Ya could have joined OHGNA at least your money would go to needy children at St Christopher's in Phila Pa.

My wife and I do support many chartible organizations including Philabundance , The Red Cross and ChildrensWishList a pediatric charity.We also Chose to support THE BILLFISH FOUNDATION.I don't tell you how to spend your money ,don't tell me how to spend mine.
