stripers in the 20 minute sleugh

i have fished the sleugh for the past three years with only 3 stripers to show for it. i chunk with fresh bunker and use light to medium rod with a shimano bait runner set to free spool..what am i doing wrong

On the hook... 20 minute sleugh is what it was called by my grandfather..he said it was due to the fact that it took about 20 minutes from the canal to get there. i have heard many people call it the 20 foot sleugh as well as the 20 minute.

The 20 min slew is right out front of the inlet it starts about 1 1/2 miles out and is about 1+ miles wide,try trolling it ! umbrella rigs and stretch 25's work well,also 3-4oz parachute jigs at 3 knts. Note the distances may be a little off...

Whatever you do dont go to the 60 , no fish there . Not worth running there with the high price of gas and all .(HEHEHEH)

Gotta add, caught a buncha stripes in 20' slough too. Just gotta put your time in. Fished it one day and did great. Next day, same tide, weather, fresh, and not even a bite. Left and a friend went there about hour later and killed em.

20 ft slu is one of my best spots. it usually seems to be the best the last couple of weeks in october.

20 minute slough is a good spot as well in nov using clam. it is 2-3 miles off the bell bouy. a couple years back some unlucky fisherman were getting ticketed outside the 3 mile limit there when they unknowingly were outside the 3 mile line.

The 20 minute slew is 20 minutes from the Cape May inlet in the ocean 38 53.5000 74 51.000. The 20 foot slew is in the bay.

DON'T FORGET IN FLOUNDER SEASON IT CAN PRODUCE ACTION BUT MOST ARE SHORTS BUT GOOD FOR KIDS.

They are both in about the same condition right now and Sam`s has insurance money tongue.gif :D
Sam`s has to go under the wrecking ball first,the Chumstain has already done that.
I think they are both in the running :D
