Fished the oyster creek outflow for a few hours yesterday with some Storms. Managed 1 14 inch fish. Thought I would have done better with that increase in temp :(

Did you see any bait? What were the water temps?

Bob, you did better than me. I fished it Friday morning and got skunked.

AJ I saw no bait what so ever. Even the cormorants took off and left.

Fished again yesterday and did real nice. Got about 12 fish betwwen 14 and 27". Got a 27" fish that was full of blood worms. Thing that is wierd is I was under the impression that bloods were not around this time of year. When I say full I mean stuffed with them. Over 70 of them. It was quite gross when I cut his stomach open.

Alex, is your boat back in business?

Alex. I'm in for a few more days. Really want to get a wreck trip in before I end the season ;)
Just wish my schedule and the weather and the seas would all come together for a day :(

Ryan,
It's been hit or miss. I have yet to figure out the formula to get them on a consistent basis there.

the fishing is hit or miss there alot for stripers.we have pretty good luck chumming w/ clam.smaller hooks than the norm.i usually use 4/0 at the plant rather than my norm for stripers,6-7/0.
i have eaten the keeper fish from the plant with no side effects.i ran into a man there that said he was 82yrs old and has been eating them there for years and in perfect health.energy food if ya ask me.
lots of fish i catch from there wear alot of battle wounds in the lip from being caught over and over again there. has anyone tagged or caught tagged fish from there.just curious as to how much migrating those fish do.

Even though the seasons closed, anyone accidently pulling up any flounder? Just wondering what the population is like this yr. for the upcoming spring season.
