12/10/06 Best day for keepers so far this fall. Broke Squan first thing, had fellow barner blackfin 25, his brother and a friend of mine. Headed south, alot of birds scattered from Lavallete, through seaside,in tight to the beach and out 2 miles. They were all over. We elected not to troll and stayed on the jig all day. We landed 4 keepers all over 30 inches, and 2 at 35inches. Birds were moving very quickly, boat traffic was heavy for this time of year. Southwest wind was blowing pretty good. Saw alot of fish caught on the troll, but we were looking for the big ones so we stayed on the jig. Great day.

I talked to my brother in law in East Morichies, NY - They are still getting bass out there - we might have a Christmas trip! -

Also reports out of Sandy hook were very good over the weekend so hopefully we will have another wave of fish coming.
