Dan- funny I was thinking of you today. I would really like to fish together this Spring in March when the pluggin thing is hot. Let's make it happen.
I'm not sure we'll make it as far as TI. I'm hoping there are plenty of fish in the rip area. I'll be on 78!

Jeez! Sounds like people had a great day today. I was at the rips, (eel and spot) I trolled stretch 25's, jigged diamonds and bucktailed. We didn't get a bite. Marked fish, but nada.
Good job guys!

i hit the rips also today and saw nothing and heard nothing. the water was as brown as brown could be. i didnt have much time to bounce around because i was pulling my boat at high tide. there was cleaner water out front on the the way to the inlet and i saw a fleet towards the ferris wheel. didnt mark much of anything either out there. rips seem to be a waste of time until it cleans up. all in all its been a good year for me from the canyons to the bay see you guys in the spring "HAMMER DOWN":)

I was shocked this morning that I had 35 degree water in the bay behind Brig. When I got out in the ocen it was 52 degrees. This may be why they are avoiding the colder shallow water.

No need to get into how many we caught today but just a heads up that the better water is over towards Delaware and lots of rips hold fish so you do not have to fish in crowds. Great bite today on both tides with just plain old eels and yes we did have some keepers. Bucktails work also. Best striper fishing of the year if you do not mind lots of fish 24-27 inches and I mean lots.

We fished ourside IR inlet Sat morning along the beach from a couple of hundred yards to two miles out. Fish were thick, but it was hard to get a keeper. Fished eels and bucktails. Water was flat, but the air had a bit of chill to it.

Good deal John! We were in the 23 Grady working by you but closer to Delaware. It looked like you guys were slow trolling???? Or were you just looking around for fish? We had 4 keepers and like you said LOTS of 24-27"s.
