Broke Cape may inlet around 8am and saw the fleet. They were off the ferris wheel, mostly achored up. First drift through boated 2 shorts. Instead of achoring we drifted until noon time. End up with 14 short bass to 23". I don't know where the big girls are, but i don't think they have come down yet... Saw lots of fish caught between the 20 or so boats but no keepers anywhere! We were hoping to find some birds with the big stripers but it wasn't our day. I have never fished this time of year and caught alll shorts alll day. This year's fall run has seemed strange, but atleast we caught some right????
