and what a trip it was. After fishing the rips yesterday in some real nasty conditions, decided to go up the beach looking for some birds and some cleaner water. At first we didn't see any birds but had some good marks on the bottom, pulled a couple short but fat bass. It wasn't long before the sun was high enough for the birds to give us a little help in finding more fish. Then it was non stop action for the rest of the morning. The bass were pilled up so thick at times the sounder was all red from 20 feet below the boat to the bottom. Lost track after 40 fish. 20"-27" fish with some big shoulders. None for the freezer but plenty of action on light spinning tackle. Awesome way to end the season. Fish were in 35-45 feet of water off of 7 mile beach. All fish were caught on diamond jigs. Get out there and get them if you can, until next season tight lines. Moe
