Gambler Stripers

Took my annual Striper trip on the Gambler out of Point Pleasant Saturday, after hearing that the drought was over. Only about 20 of us onboard and we had Bass all day jigging, with the best action in the afternoon. Ended up with 12 (3 keepers) plus 2 big blues, mostly on a 5 oz. Croc spoon. Some guys did even better.

Good to hear of the change Mike! I went out on the gambler about 3 weeks ago, and the whole boat caught 6 stripers (all shorts) and a few blues. December is usually the best!

Mike,good report, fish seem to have held north a lot longer this year. Friend of mine has been catching every day he can get out in Sandy Hook area
MAYBE this will mean an early Spring bite down this way

Willie, it was a good day to be alive. For all of the fish we caught, we should have caught twice as many what with all of the birds and swirling fish out there. This was in the Seaside area, but from what I understand they're off the south Jersey coast too.

nice catch!---how much is that trip and what time does it leave and come back? my buddys uncle works on the gambler but i cant get ahold of him for the info.

Saturday was the day, Sunday wasn't. Went out with my crew on the Gambler, we had 68 in the pool, probably 70-75 fares, and just a handful of fish. The stripers were there, just not taking jigs. The charter boats trolled and did very well.
