Went fishing for the last time this year on the Fisherman outta AH. Got there early like I usually do and this time there were already like 15 people on board..usually 1 or 2. A good bit of westerly wind on the way out in the bay. Birds all over the place in the back-bay....good sign! Once we got to the channels..you couldnt see any birds..at least I couldnt. The guy next to me says, 'See all dem birds out there man?'..nope. As we get out further...birds all over the place..most I have EVER seen out there!! Best part..1 head boat and 1 charter boat were out there with the birds :) It was pretty much instant action. All the shorts you could want, caught on anything that a Striper usually eats. Caught mine on crippled herring, 27s, and a hopkins. The old stand-by 5oz croc spoon was too big. Final tally for me..13 shorts, and a nice 30 " fattie! Only about 15-20 keepers but a whole mess of shorts caught...future looks great for Stripers..pics below

Yes he is..surprised he didnt come down and show us how it was done. The regulars in the bow were tearing it up all day long... That will be my last trip till the spring...

one had a 33 incher on the jig and a 26 on the teaser
Thought i had a 40lb'er...what a blast

I was on that charter right next to the Fisherman. I have fished with Captain Ron for about four years now and I respect his honesty with his reports and he works hard to find you fish. I posted a report also and we were into fish for six hours with many slots (over 90) and our limit of keepers. With this weather pattern the bait and fish should be around for a couple of weeks. Fished on Fisherman last year until he pulled the boat. This year doesn't look to be any different.
