Nice day on the water. The seas were flat and the temp was warm. Small scattered areas of bird concentration. I managed a half dozen throwback stripers. They were caught on a bucktail / bass assasion combo, jigging off of the bottom. It should only get better.

We fished the Margate beach for some small stripers. Then had a report of larger fish 1 mile east of the bell. We put out the stretch 25's and started searching. As we found some good marks with no birds or other boats we started to pull in the stretches to start jigging , while reeling in the trolloing lures we hooked up a 38" bass. It was great to get out of the office on such a perfect day I had to keep asking myself . Is it really December?

Fished the AC beaches. Managed 6 shorts. Couldn't seem to attract the bigger boys. Were using mostly small bucktails (1oz). Should I try some larger lures? Did try trolling some Stretch 25 with no luck.

Hey Lucky Strike,
Was that you with Striper Tom and some other guy on board? It seemed like the other guy was doing all the catching! What was the size of the beast he pulled in?

Weaks,

Summer flounder most likely. We pulled in a 5 pounder on Sat while jigging crippled herring rigs. I heard several other reports on the radio on sat as well.
