We'll Bill22Jack and I headed down Sunday for one of our last trips. It is December, and I quess we have to get the boat out for the winter:( . Anyhow we decided to hit the ocean. With fresh spot, eels, diamond jigs, stretch 25's and bucktails we set out first to the rips. After a hour or so with no luck we headed north. Trolled from CN inlet over the WW Lump and while we marked some fish nothing. We then stopped while over some marks and sent down some diamond jigs, nothing. Drifted at the lump, nothing. Hit the inlet, nothing. Went to the .50 bridge for one last attempt, nothing. A great day fishing and listening to the Eagles, but no fish. Back at the dock we talked to a friend who had his limit and about 40 more. He was off Stone Harbor, we should of continued north.

When I got home on Sunday it looked good for Monday so I made some calls and my brother, Jimmy "Mush", he never catches stripers, decided to go. No live today, only bucktails. It was one nice day out there. We did the rips first again, then if nothing we were heading north. We'll I moved around the furthest offshore rips and found some nice marks so we stopped. On the first drift I hooked up and landed a 25 incher. Moments later on the same drift "Mush" hooks up. Holy Moly! He lands a nice 23 incher. Well we just stayed at the rips and landed a dozen or so bass. Mush was happy, He's now Jim again:D . A great day with my brother and some bass.

According to some posts I should of went North today.

Well Tom it was still a great year, plenty of laughs with family and friends, and before you know it, April will be here. The 2 of us buying the boat has been a great experience, and it will ensure our friendship lasting another 35 years.
