Well, where can I start ... we left the slip at 0530 with a striper killin crew Capt Kobey , Dawg, JLitt, Ryan ,and Gary in hopes of taking the No Bones ... we ran north in calm seas like a horse out of the starting gate to our first spot .... Once the hook was set the chunking began , the first hour or so was slow , nothing happening , shortly after Ryan's line went off boated a 32" bass around 12lbs , so we released it in hopes of something bigger ... soon after that another rod takes off like a frieght train , but suddenly stops after 5 seconds , nothing after for most of the day , then we got called in where there was fish being caught by a dock mate , as soon as we pulled up there was signs of life , the one who called us in was bailing them , as all we did was watch him grab the net , now time is against us , its almost 3pm and no fish in the box , so we make a run south for one last stop Capt Kobey spots a small school of bunker , so out comes the snagging hook , after chasing them down Kobey manages to snag 1 live bunker in the live well it went .
We set up in a nice hole with bait fish all around , live lined the bunker , and something took it , it wasn't what we were looking for but it definately had teeth , the bunker came up with half of it missing , about 15 mins later Gary's line starts to creep off then tears off , he then boated a 38" 25lb bass, now its 4:50pm , too late for weigh ins, so we were confident that there were more bass lurking , so we stayed out till 7:30pm ,, Came home with just the 1 bass ..... it was a slow day for most , but I enjoyed being out with an exceptional crew .... I had fun and we all had laughs, I was actually ready to jump in the cooler with my striper suit on , but was afraid of Stain collaring me ....
Here is our Captain hard at work
