Dear striped bass fisherman – our favorite fish is under more pressure than ever, and Stripers Forever , a free membership, internet-based organization is fighting for them on many fronts. They need as many members as possible to show the politicians how many people depend on striped bass for recreation, food, and income.
If you haven't signed up yet as a member of Stripers Forever, here are a few things you should know:

Ø Membership is free
Ø There are no meetings to attend
Ø Everything is done via the internet and e-mail
Ø Many of the top fisherman in the country support Stripers Forever
Ø Stripers Forever’s only goal is to make striped bass a gamefish, which means it would be managed for the benefit of fishing public, now and in future generations
Here is all that you have to do, it will take less than a minute and cost nothing:

Ø Go to www.stripersforever.org (http://www.stripersforever.org/)
Ø Select Become A Member
Ø Fill out the very easy to follow sign up sheet.

This is a critical time for striped bass. Help Stripers Forever successfully advocate to protect wild striper populations by Making It A Gamefish.

Thank you from the Stripers Forever board of directors and BUCKTAIL WILLIE

You are right Willie. Was looking at the latest trawl surveys in CP Bay and year of the young not looking good and a lot of that fish diesease. Lots of small bass around this year in my area but not too many of the prime breeding stock. We all only think of our own backyard and fail to think that the bass get hammered from South Carolina to Maine everywhere they go and there are more meat fishermen than there are sportfishermen so big numbers of fish never make the circut.

Thanks for the post. I've earmarked it and will sign up this weekend. It sure was a bad striper season last fall, the worst for me since the mid 90's.

BIGGEST JACK--JUST ARRIVED TODAY

Had planned to fish on Outer Banks but wind and rain shut me down.I did manage to catch one 25" bass on the Bay Bridge on New Years Eve before a cop chase me from my spot telling me fishing was only allowed on the pier
