Hey all just wanted to give a heads up that I will be giving a seminar covering Spring Stripers on the Susquehanna Flats at the Greater Reading Sports Show. I'll be speaking on Saturday, January 20 at 6:00 p.m.
I see Capt. Harv and Chris Gately and maybe a few other familiar names will be speaking as well.
This is the show featuring Ted Nugent, oughta be a good time.
Hope to see some of you there.

Hey Capt. Ed-
On Saturday, Donovan has me down for "Season Starter Stripers." I was going to include the Susky Flats very briefly because I can not speak authoritatively on that area but I suspect lots of people in that region do fish it. when are you speaking?
Maybe we can direct people the best we can to the appropriate seminar. I will probably do more on the Delaware River and Raritan Bay vs the flats.
Thanks Capt Ed

Hey TT-
Not sure yet - here is why: I began last year by bringing most of my gear. I found that people liked the seminars when I made it real personable and answered questions they wanted to know answers to rather than just some guy standing up front and showing pictures and talkking.
I intend to bring some herring to show riggings. I will bring some new rods that aid in circle hook hook ups and some other stuff. A powerpoint presentation will support the hands on seminar.
FYI - On march 2nd at 6pm - I will be doing the Hemlock Rod & Gun Club free seminar in NE Philly - Fairless Hills to be exact. This will be on: "10 ways to catch more stripers" all supported with video and some pictures from the field the way it happened. The video isn't the best quality but it reinforces what I am saying and gives you a clearer idea. Cast net selection, drift vs anchor and fishing proper structure for big bass are just some of my ten ways. I will also bring a lot of gear for the table so that you can see it firsthand - up close and personal.
I'll keep you posted on that as time draws near. Hemlock typically packs about 400-500 people each year. I heard last year's event drew 600 people.

I had a good time at the show. I got to meet some of the NJ Angler staff, Chris Gatley, and the people of Pierson Plugs. I went to a seminar that Chris did which I thought was informative and done well. I also picked up two ceder plugs from the Pierson Plugs stand.

Thanks Seaclusion! It was great to meet and talk in depth with Capt Ed of Bonus Check and his friend Capt. Jen. We had an interesting conversation about Tarpon. Jen, I will get there one day!
