One of our locals was outside yesterday. Rough conditions for a small boat but it paid off. First anchored in 40 feet of water and chummed bellies. Nothing but dogs. Moved in closer to 30 foot depth and hooked up with a beauty. Got it to the boat but the leader was wrapped around the swivel. Line snapped on what he estimates around a 30 pounder. Kept fishing with the bellies and caught some shorts but hooked up with another nice fish. 35 pounder made it to the net.
