plugging the surf

Went down to bayhead beach this morning for about
2 hrs. and nothing no birds working and no bait
around bunch of guys were claiming since 6 am and
not even a hit as of 9 am not looking so good

You no what they say. "Try and Try again". I bait fished all afternoon the other day, with nothing, not even a croaker. then right at the witching hour I switched over to a popper. 5 casts later wack, a slot bass on the teaser. So just when you are about to give up thats when it happens. Every year the run starts later and later.

This morning in the last half hour of "just one more cast" I had a short hit my plug in the wash. Could have just as easily been it's mother. ;) With that thought in mind, I think I'll head back to the beach to try again till dark.
