Saturday and Sunday couldn't have been more different.
Hit the water about 5am on Sat, went right to the 8's. Marked nothing, rode around for a while found something that looked promising, not a touch. Moved down to the valley, thinking deeper water might be the ticket. The Lewes Charter fleet was there when we got there, made a couple drifts, nothing, saw no one else catching. Tide died and we set out the trolling gear. Caught a little fish, 27" or so (not a DE keeper). Tide started to move out so we moved up the bay to set up for the chunk. Marked a lot of fish but no takers at first. Finally had some excitement with a double header of missed fish. Then finally picked up a 34" incher for the box. Called it a day around 4.
Sunday - again hit the water at 5am, had a steady pick of fish all morning. Caught 11 fish the smallest of which was 32" the biggest at 41" (only kept 1 for the table). Found them early and stuck with them until noon, called it a day.
It leaves you wondering, how can two days be so different?
And man, how about the weather, can you believe it is Nov? Almost too good to be true.
