I live in Southern New Jersey by Carney's Point. I can't find bloods anywhere. Does anybody know where to get bloodworms this time of the year, within a reasonable driving distance to Carney's Point. I understand that some tackle shops down the shore have them but that's almost 2 hours away. Thanks for your help.

Gonefishin, Have you tried Paulsboro Seafood. They usually carry the Bloods, it may be a little early now though. If they do not have em they will be getting them soon. They are located on the main drag in Paulsboro. I beleive it is crown point road / route 45. There was also a liquor store on rt 130 in Pennsville that I used to get them at when I fished at the DOD. Can not remember the name only been there a few times. I live in Glendora and usually get em at big timber bait and tackle on Creek road in bellmawr. Good luck and please let me know where you were able to find them and how much they are going for. Thanks

www.mainebait.com (http://www.mainebait.com) has worms for 35.00 for 2 dozen 8-14 inch bloodworms. that price includes 2 day shipping. might be worth the extra few bucks if you cant find them anywhere.
sandworms are a little cheaper.

Ah Yes ! I can see it now, virtual bloodworms. I guess all the bait and tackle shops can finally close up and go fishing!
As hard as it is to get good bloodworms it is going to get much harder if the buyers in Maine can sell all the XX large worms for retail prices. Why should they bother to send any of the big ones to the bait dealers down south.
Everyone will still expect us to have a refrigerator jammed full if the sun comes out and a full blown blitz breaks out.
It only gets more confusing.

Has anyone here considered doing a group buy of bloodworms? With all the users on here, we could pool our money and probably get 'em at wholesale prices, then we divvy them up...It's a little early in the season now, but I don't see why we couldn't do this in a few weeks...
