Carolina - Do you trailer your boat or are you docked around Brigantine? How far are you willing to travel? I can tell you about a few geat palces between Barnegat Inlet and Sandy Hook (Inshore)

If you're into trolling wire leader or umbrella rigs you should really look into Shrewsbury rocks. Their situated out front off the town of shrewsbury, not too far south of Sandy Hook. As far as inshore goes, the channels that cut along the sedge banks on the back end of ISBP are terrific. These would be maybe a mile inside Barnegat Inlet on the IBSP side. The channels cut in real close to the sod banks. A lot of little rips and pockets form around there. The trick is to hit it real early or late at night because it's a popular area and sees a ton of boat traffic during the day. This is excellent clamming water in the spring and heats up with artificial action as the water warms. I use alot of 5" or 6" Tsunami shads in this area just casting against the bank. Your best bet is to launch from the public boat ramp at Barnegat Light on LBI. From there, you'd basically be shooting straight across the inlet and you'd be in prime water.

Carolina, you're gonna luv this place!
Once the season warms up, you'll see that the BARN is a wealth of information. And the reason for that is due simply to the fact that the BARN is home to some of the best people around smile.gif
