Here it is caught Monday night By Curtis Fitzpatrick at Beesleys Point on clam. The only window before the latest blitz of snow and cold.
Congradulations Curtis onyour catch and winning a $200 gift certificate. There are still prizes for the 2nd keeper, 1st slot fish and others stop by the web site and give a look.

kinda bittter sweet.
One of the first stripers, signifying the beginning of a new season, but honostly, the fish looks very unhealthy.
I guess its a striper either way, and thats good enough!

Henry's got it right, It must have bounced around the ground a bit before it got crammed into his too small Ice chest up against some cold ice.
I've picked up enough fresh fish to know the slime was real. I would have rather taken a picture of the otherside but it didn't want to un curl.
It scaled out at 14 pounds, and whatever you think Curtis saw the weather window calculated the place and put his time in on a reasonably warm but windy night and got it started.

And so another bass season begins in South Jersey. Soon- bridges, snags, bays, rips, beaches, jetties, and other such places will fill up with guys like us looking for the old faithful striper.
Time to set some goals. I'm gonna start a new thread.
