WHAT'S UP GUYS,I JUST RECENTLY GOT BUNCH OF WIRELINE TROLLING GEAR AND I'M NOT SURE IF THE GUIDES ON MY PENN SENATOR 3135 WILL W/STAND THE WIRE.IT HAS AFTCO ROLLER STRIPPING FOR THE FIRST GUIDE AND TOP W/STAINLESS STEAL IN BETWEEN.DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS ROD WILL WORK OR SHOULD I JUST GET A DIFFERENT ROD ALL TOGETHER?:confused: THANKS IN ADVANCE

The rods will handle monel for a while. I was given a pair years ago and have used them for wire... no problems... no sign of wear. The roller tip takes a lot of the friction. Since they were basicly free I didn't really worry bout it.
Carboloy guides are the best and some newer composit guides will work.
