Word is out, alot of boats on the water sunday. We boated 2 bass, first was 14# and the second was 19#. We missed a few runoffs & lost 2 others during the fight. Hey Bob, I was in the same general area as saturday. I got to work all week, but hope to get out on saturday for some more action.

I just got back in and I was in the exact same spot and got absolutely nothing, not a tap not a run-off nothing. If they are there they might have lockjaw or maybe they are spawning or dropped back due to the rain. I don't know excatly what's going on but it smacks of 3 years ago when we killed them at that spott and then the next night there was not a sign they had ever even been there. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

I had them pretty good Sunday at a small feeder creek with gravel bottom.

Hey Bob that spot was getting hit really hard starting around 11 am or so on sunday, had at least 5 boats working that area. Fish seemed to get tight lipped with all the traffic, the 2 we got were on the chunck & bit like catfish. Got some good runoffs on live early in the a.m., but when the armada showed up the bass would chase the herring, mouth them a little & that's it!!! See ya out there soon!!!

I think I will run out in the canoe tomorrow or Thursday for a couple hours to see how things are. Otherwise I'll be fishing a much more easterly location.

You might want to try to get your baits tighter to the shore line, that's were we had the best action. It has a little drop of 4-5 ft that runs along the bank less than 15ft out or so. I don't know if it runs down the entire shoreline, but it's there.
i ve been listening to you guys..mostly bob..for several months..you guys are blabbing about spots the size of my back yard and then crying about fleets of boats scaring them away..the river has been a nice place for years..there are people rolling in there graves

Thanks Creek Duck, I have been throwing a chunk or two along the bank, in fact Saturday when I saw you guy's the first one I got was off the bank. Know that, those channels well from my trips as a youngster. Went out tonight in the canoe with some live Herring and had one mess around with it but no takers. Also talked to a local who said he caught a couple shorts and also saw another guy who did the same. I really went out to kind of scope it out and I think I'll cut back my time a little in that spot.
jpm, I just looked back at what Creek Duck and I said and I can't seem to find anyone crying about boats. Creek Duck said they got "tight lipped with all the traffic" but I don't think that sounds like he's crying to me. What spot are you referring to? I also don't remember seeing anyone making reference to a particular spot, please correct me if I'm wrong. I know of a good eye doctor if your in need of one. In fact the first person who actually made any type of reference "there killing them from Sweetwater Casino to Forks" made a post about it a few days ago. Why don't you look it up and then say something to him about it if you have a problem with it. I figured since he shot his mouth off about it I would confirm it as well, that is about all I'm guilty of on this web site. What happened to the river by the way? It still seems pretty nice to me. Jet ski's, canoer's dumping trash on there way down, those are some things that take away from the "niceness" of the river not guy's catching fish. Don't EVER put my name in with any type of negative comments regarding this river, I go out of my way to do what it takes to keep things "nice".

Well said Bob. JPM read carefully before you comment on anybody's post, not crying just stating a fact.

Mullica Bob, Don't even dignify his posts with comments.
Look at his post history...
19 post and 15 of them are from the Barn Sale.
He is a lurker who uses the site for his own selfish reasons.
JPM, you can have fun bashing me all you want because I won't answer them.
And if you question my history on the Barn go ahead and search!
I am confident of my contributions here!

I don't think the whole world could fit in the river. Probably be a hell of a party though.

I like people who chime in cause they can't catch. Makes me feel even better about myself. ;)
