One of my charter freinds stopped by our boat at about 8:00 pm this evening and went out on a fun trip at 4:30 pm today and you see how many they caught fishing for 3 hours. All surf clams and withing a few miles of the Ferry Terminal. No he was not at Tussy's but pretty much all by himself and he told me quite a few boats had 4 on at time this afternoon according to radio chatter. Now is the time to go if you can make it out. Great fishing from what I have been told the last few days.

Our 50 foot HOOKED UP arrived late yesterday afternoon at South Jersey Marina from down in Virgina and we are ready to start Wednesday. The three guys that brought the boat up are 100% die hard striper fisherman and caught over 125 stripers over 40 lbs earlier this year down there and best yet they released every one of them except a few smaller fish for the dinner table. Told them about fishing with surf clams and they never heard of fishing for stripers that way. All their fish were caught trolling but that is another story. Right now the Delaware Bay is red hot.

Are the Gnats out in force yet? When the Gnats are a pest the drum bite the best.

Oh yeah, the gnats have arrived. Not terrible today, but the breeze came up just enough.

Capt Jeff: New boat will not be ready until some time early June and waiting for pictures from the builders wife to e-mail us. Boat all primed and ready for paint. Cat engine sea trials scheduled for May 22. It won't be long now.
