Fishing out of T.I.haven'tseen any action yet. Anyone know where the blues are hiding?Marked a few fish last week close to shore south ofinlet, but no bites. Could have been stripers. Throwing tins with no luck. Today looks great weather wise. So where are the fish?

Have you tried fishing at night?

No. don't really like running the boat at night out front. I guess I could try fising from the beach, but love the boat. Its just that they are slaying the blues out front in IBSP mixed with a few schoolies, so I can't figure out why they aren't around here like that.

Were you the Island Hopper style sport cabin boat that ran out the inlet around 8:30 this morning? If so, I was the nitwit on the Sea Isle side sacrificing bucktails to the barnacle gods underneath the bridge :D
Figured it was so nice out, I'd wade out a bit...in shorts and sneakers. Its still a might cool for that mess...I just now regained feeling in my feet.

no. I have a Pursuit 21'center console."Albie Damned"
Ran out front about 4:00pm. ran the beach south. Marked fish in the inlet and along the beach. Nada. All fish had lock jaw. Threw just about everything I had at them. Storms, Bombers, jumpin'minnows, Knuckleheads, all sorts of metal. Zippo.

onthefly,
Generally speaking, we do not have a good spring run of bass and blues along 7 mile beach. Aside from a few days here and there when you might pick them up on the Lump, most of the fish that are caught in the spring are in the back. I know it dosen't make sense since they catch fish below us and above us, and both species are migrating north, but we just don't get a strong run of fish. You would be much better off either wreck fishing or concentrating on spots in the back.
