View Full Version : STALKER -Spring Stripers!!!

It is finally freezing out, the bay has ice all over, and it is almost too cold to go fishing for the first time this winter. We are starting to think about the great striper and drum fishing coming up this April and May.

April is alway a great time for stripers in the rips on bucktails, we start trying in March with bucktails and mackeral strips, then changing to green and white grubs on the bucktails...as the month goes on we start to fish for some bigger ones in the Delaware Bay with fresh clam.

This time of year is always alot of fun, last April brought days with 20, 30, and 40+ stripers and even more on our best days of the spring on April 29th with 84 stripers, and May 2nd with 85 stripers between the 3 of us. The biggest fish of the spring last year for us was caught with clam in the Delaware Bay, and weighed 40 lbs.

Hey Jer - I left you a voice mail and an email, so why not put it here too.

I have reserved two spots for the sat 5/6 pm trip. I want to now make it 3 spots as the ford brothers want to go.

So that's 3 spots, me, cha and robbie for the 5/6 sat pm trip. Thanks and please get back to me as soon as you can if ya don't have that extra spot.

SeaCaper and I will be looking to sail on either 4/21 or 4/22. You have AM openings either of those 2 dates?
