Hey, who has an MMSI on their VHF? We should all post them so we can keep in touch on the water.

Is there a way to program these into your radio so you can easily call up others?

I have an ICOM 502. I know I can program 40 names in it or enter them manually. This will be my first attempt at using the DSC feature so I'm planning on taking the manual with me tomorrow. I'm going to be launching at Cape May and fishing the bay from noonish tomorrow through the late night high tide. I'll have the radio on and will hopefully have it figured out. Is any one else in that area tomorrow?

MJA, ust make sure you don't screw up, most radios only allow 3 attempts then it is locked out and you have to take it back to the manufacturer for clearing.

Where do I get my mmsi#, is it on the radio itself or in the manual? I have an Icom IC M127?
