susky flats wed .....**Updated W/Pix**

got out today early (5am) with Clamchunker

nice smooth ride to the flats water was stained on the incoming tide but fishable, temps were around 60-63 all day....

first one on about 1/2 hr after we got there , after that was a sporadic bite but a great day smile.gif ..

shawn wound up with 9 or 10 i wound up with 7 or 8 up to 24 lbs


awesome isnt the word i can say , topwater explosions are the biggest thrill to see the water explode and know its a beeeg striper smile.gif

at one point i had 4 stripers following my plug and after hitting it there was total mayhem
with them zipping around the boat :eek:


i saw some of the biggest stripers in my life down there unbeliveable!!!! smile.gif

have pics but will have to do that another time arms are killing me and i am wiped :cool:

glad you decided to come on down. Everyone out there yesterday had some degree of success and was glad they chose to fish. Water quality was/is somewhat less than it has been, but we're a little spoiled by how clear and clean it was before all the rain. In previous years we'd call this water pretty good! Even what bit of stain we have is clearing by the minute. If you can see fish following your lure, that ain't bad. Glad you had a good day man, welcome to the FLATS!

hey bob had a great time out there. i told you i was going to let you catch the first fish but you know i wasnt going to let you catch the most :D . it was great just to see the fish swimming around on the bottom and watching them follow lures to the boat. caught two myself within a foot of the boat one was jigged up next to the motor its so cool to see them just come up and inhale the ba's.
