Today I had the Rodd Charter from Philadelphia out for a day of Drum fishing, and boy they got what they wanted.

We got set up just about a 1/2 mile west of Brandywine in about 19' of water, and with water hovering about 55-56 degrees, with the tide going slack. The Wind was honkin good in the am but layed out real nice by 9am or so.

The plan was to fish the outgoing tide for Drum and hopefully some bass. The first hour or so we waited out the tide and as it got started we had a double hook up and ended landing one of the Bass, 19. 1/4# and full of clam.

We did not get a bite for another 2 hours when the tide really started to run out, Then the Drum Fish slaughter started.,

One Drum after another, with many being double and triple headers came over the rail, along with another bass. I have never seen it like that with drum, all within 2 1/2 hours.

We ended the day with 25 Drum to 30lbs, a handful of misses, and 2 Bass.

We took 2 Drum for the table along with the 2 Bass. What a great day and a great group.

All fish were caught on fresh clam, and the bites were very light so hold the rod!!!!!!!

We still have a few prime dattes, so get into the action.

It's nice to hear a report with some details, especially from a charter Captain. While it's nice to hear reports of "we killed them today!"--they are not very helpful. Water depth and bait along with general location are greatly appreciated and in the long run help us all out as we share valuable info.

Nice report, really informative, especially when some of us only get to fish once a month, it's nice to at least get some ideas which way to head, when you come out of the canal! Agree with AMR.

Hey Guys,

I have always reported the same way, of course some reports are not as thourough as others, due to time or something.

But when I get out I really do try to give a detailed report, and guys that fish with me and know me, Know that I really don't mind giving "Spots"away, techniques or anything.

These are fish and they do swim, but if I can direct someone in the right direction so they can go out and have an idea of were to fish, rather than throw a dart at the chart, That makes me feel good.

I hope the guys on here read our reports and use the information I give them to their advantage , and I really hope it pays off, If it doesn't at least they know they had at least a fighting chance.

Thanks for the props from everyone..

Good Fishing.
