It is with great pleasure that I announce that my nomination of our own Bill Donovan, aka NJANGLERBILL,to be the Pennsylvania representative on the Advisory Panel of the Striped Bass Management Board of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission was approved unanimously at its meeting on Wednesday,February 22, 2006 in Crystal City,Va.

The ASMFC advisory panel reviews all Fishery Management Plans,Amendments and Addendums as well as reviewing all Striped Bass Technical Committee recommendations. The Advisory Panel is composed of state representatives who their Commissioners believe have the best understanding of the Striped Bass Fishery.

We all know that "our" Bill will represent not only Pennsylvania, but all of us who fish for striped bass. Let's give Bill a BASSBARN round of applause.....Gene

No doubt the best man for the job! Finally another voice that makes sense in the Fisheries Management world. I know Bill will push for rules that make sense and yet protect the reverant striper. Congrats!
