The weather man has cooled things off a little, but the ocean temperature at the sea bouys is still well over 40 degrees and the temperature at the coastline is right there.

I'm planning on an early start and do have bloodworms in stock. The price is a little better than last year, but still high. I hope to have clams in before wednesday but still haven't had confirmation from the clam man.

I do have a complete selection of Berkley Saltwater Gulp which I feel is going to really make some waves this spring as more fishermen are going to give it a try. Remember that Berkley has a great rebate offer of $5 for every $10 you spend up to a total rebate of $25 per person.

One last note I really want to see this season get of to an early start and I would like to see some of those early fish in the store. To make it worth your while I am offering prizes for the first fish weighed in. Here's the list:

1st legal striper $200 gift certificate
2nd legal striper $100 gift certificate
3rd legal striper $50 gift certificate
1st striper over 20 lb. $100 gift certificate
1st striper over 30 lb. $100 gift certificate.

Rules are simple the fish may be caught by legal methods anywhere in NJ waters and brought to the store during regular store hours.

Only 1 prize per fish

Now lets get ready to fish!

You guys have to get in on Absecon Dave's Ebay auctions. Over the last two seasons, I've stocked up on some great lures for an unbelievable price.
Just last week, I bought over 50 bags of soft plastics (Fin-S, Bass Assassins, Berkley Power Bait, and Hurley's Striper Magnets) for $40! These should last me well into 2007.
Thanks again Dave! smile.gif

The Clam man got here early this morning so I'm loaded up with fresh for the opener. I also got my newest Berkley Gulp order and now have the clams in 2", 3" and 4", Jerk shads in Chartruce and Pink so there is no excuse that you need the zooms or fin-s.

Remember Berkley has a great rebate of $5 for every $10 you spend that you can get up to $50 back so take advantage of the complete collection.

I do have ton's of soft plastics that I'm still selling at 50% off. I probably don't have time to get much more on e-bay since that is really more work than they would have you believe and the store will be taking my full attention.

Bump the good guys for having bait when no one else did. They have a great bait and tackle store with a huge assortment of gulp baits. Thanks again great job.
